Engr. Surv. Ebenezer A. Gyamera (PhD)

Gyamera Ankomah Ebenezer is a Geomatic Engineer, Geological Engineer and a Land Surveyor by profession with over twenty-four (24) years of experience in the field of Land Use Administration, Geosciences and Project Management. He is a Land Surveying consultant, a Lecturer (Land Use and Spatial Planning) at the University of Cape Coast, an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) Tarkwa, and a Chartered Project Manager. He is the founder and Executive Director of Gyam Group of Companies. Ebenezer holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Geomatic Engineering and an MSc in Geological Engineering from UMaT. He also holds a Professional Doctorate in Project Management from the Institute of Project Management Professionals (IPMP), Ghana, Masters in Project Management, and Masters in Human Resource Management from the American Academy of Project Management (AAPM), USA and finally a Diploma in Mine Surveying from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology School of Mines, Tarkwa, Ghana. His research interest includes Participatory Geographic Information System (PGIS), Land Conflict Resolution, and Project Management. Engr. Surv. Dr. Dr. E. A Gyamera (PhD) is a Governing Council Member and a Distinguished Fellow of IPMP, a Fellow of AAPM, a Fellow and a National Council Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Ghana, a Professional Member of Ghana Institution of Surveyors (MGhIS), a Member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) and a Member of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG). Ebenezer, has attended and become a speaker at several international conferences both locally and abroad including; The Second United Nations Word Geospatial Information Congress in India, Oxford Summit Of Leaders In Uk, The World Cadaster Summit, Congress and exhibition In Turkey, The fist international Project Management Boot Camp in Ghana, Etc. He serves on the Committee of Standards and Professional Practice of the Engineering Council of Ghana. He serves on several committees in UCC, among them includes; Development committee, Committee of University Landed Property, Agriculture Modernization Committee, Land Use and Infrastructure Development Team, Ad-hoc committee to write policy for project contract management for the University of Cape Coast, and the focal person for TV programs for School of Agriculture. He is currently the Southern Sector Organizing Secretary and the Central Regional Chair for the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Ghana. Ebenezer has authored the book titled “Ghana Lands in Focus Vol. 1” and co-authored an internationally acclaimed book titled “Cadastre: Geo-Information Innovations in Land Administration” and has several publications to his credit in the field of geosciences. For his hobbies, Engr. Surv. Dr. Dr. Gyamera has much interest in public speaking, lecturing, driving, conflict resolution and physical training. Apart from being a land-use expert, having studied to this level has also enabled him cultivate an excellent analytical and organizational ability. He is very good at working with figures. His active participation in local and international conferences, radio and television discussions, class discussions, seminars, workshops and extracurricular activities has contributed immensely to his leadership and managerial prowess.
